How will you make an impact in this role?
This is the role leading Merchant Acquisition team and responsible for acquisition strategy to tactically grow network coverage and drive business profitability for Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) in Taiwan. Reporting to the Director & Head of Taiwan GMS and will be leading one B30 field sales Team Leader to deliver Taipei coverage goal and an elite team comprised four B25.
The key pillars of the job include defining and implementing effective acquisition strategy, building a framework to refresh the named list of merchants in focus verticals to ensure the market relevancy, driving perception of coverage in the market to support issuers and coaching and driving team performance and productivity.

How will you make an impact in this role?

- With the long-term goal in growing coverage in Taipei, focus verticals and other geos, POS profitability, Active Location-In-Force, and capturing inbound spend, you will work alongside with Director & Head of Taiwan GMS to develop and execute acquisition strategies to achieve business KPI.
- Need to have thought leadership for strategic ideas to enhance sales productivity, effective pipeline management, improve operational efficiency, driving merchant activation, achieve merchant satisfaction and minimizing channel conflict.
- Provide coaching and leadership for DRs in meeting individual and team performance metrics set by the business.
- Effectively manage and optimize the designated budget given to drive acquisition effectiveness. Accountable for channel performance forecast, regular update and end deliverable to meet the business goals. Work with corporate coverage planning team in building comprehensive analytical capabilities to track coverage and identify opportunities.
- Align with card issuers in developing special project to explore new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic programs with Merchant Engagement and Marketing teams to ensure defined program targets are met.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory/association/compliance regulations
- Bachelor degree or above.
- A minimum 10 years’ experience in business sales team management with a proven track record is preferred.
- Strong project and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated team player with abilities in influencing/negotiating with customers/merchants/internal stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with well-rounded sales skill set.
- Fast learner to pick up American Express company culture, value proposition and merchant value.
- Knowledge or experience in Payment industry will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and CRM applications, preferably, Salesforce
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
