Junior Certificate Coordinator & Lab Assistant

Global Water Solutions has a vacancy for a Junior Certification Coordinator & Lab Assistant to join our committed GWS Asia Office workforce based in Taichung. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a solid educational background in Chemistry, Engineering, or relevant fields and an enthusiasm for learning.

The Junior Certification Coordinator & Lab Assistant supports the certification and laboratory processes within our company. This entry-level role involves assisting with documentation, compliance checks, and laboratory activities, including testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of handling both administrative and technical tasks under the supervision of experienced team members.
The Junior Certification Coordinator & Lab Assistant will report directly to the Director of Global Business Enhancement & Services based in Taichung and will be based in our GWS Asia Office in Taichung, Taiwan.

This entry-level role involves assisting with documentation, compliance checks, and laboratory activities, including testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of handling both administrative and technical tasks under the supervision of experienced team members.
The Junior Certification Coordinator & Lab Assistant will report directly to the Director of Global Business Enhancement & Services based in Taichung and will be based in our GWS Asia Office in Taichung, Taiwan.
The role and responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:
Certification Support Duties:
- Documentation and Record-Keeping;
- Assist in maintaining a list of notified bodies, certification agencies, and laboratories, including contact details and capabilities;
- Support the preparation of certification applications and organize supporting documentation such as wetted parts lists, bills of materials (BOM), technical drawings, and supplier certificates;
- Help review and verify technical files, BOM drawings, parts lists, and other documentation for accuracy and consistency;
- Aid in preparing samples for certification and material compliance testing;
- Track and follow up on certification and testing timelines, communicating updates to the Certification Manager and other stakeholders;
- Assist in monitoring certification status and renewal dates, sending reminders for material testing and renewal applications.
- Laboratory Testing Support;
- Help conduct routine tests on water filter systems and components under the guidance of senior lab personnel;
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments;
- Record test results accurately and assist with data analysis as needed.
- Support the implementation of quality control procedures in the laboratory;
- Report any observed deviations from standard procedures to senior staff;
- Assist in refining testing methodologies.
- Follow established safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory;
- Help maintain a clean and organized lab environment;
- Assist with the routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of regulatory standards and certification processes is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, such as through internships or academic work, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from more experienced colleagues.
