Head of Engagement, Turkey (Business Development & Sales)

We are looking for an established business developer who, working hand-in-hand with the rest of the team, will seek out and sense the potential areas of impact in which ATÖLYE can play a part.
This includes identifying new clients and partners whose purpose and ambitions are aligned with ours. Daily, this means igniting new conversations around systemic design challenges, responding to RFPs that are aligned with our impact framework, strategizing with business partners to develop impact-led programs, following through with engagement processes, and seamlessly handing over project relationships to the project teams.
This is a pivotal role for the future of ATÖLYE and for the positive mark that we will leave in the world.
Responsibilities

Undertaking the sourcing and initiating of client engagements and new business development leads whereas deepening and refining the ongoing client relationships mainly in Turkish markets while supporting other geographies.

Managing the inflow and acting as the central point of contact/owner of all new incoming client inquiries in Turkiye.

Working with fellow members of ATÖLYE’s “Engagement Circle'' as well as other leaders to streamline and standardize the new engagement and business development processes, including project scoping approaches, teaming practices, and budgeting efforts and orchestrating all Business Development activities in Turkiye.

Attending client meetings and engaging other leads/directors as needed, following up on meetings, leading the production of RFI / RFP responses and project proposals along with an extended team, and presenting to/discussing with the right parties.

Thought Leadership: Actively defining, planning and facilitating client engagement events, identifying events/conferences to attend/speak and facilitating the creation and tracking of an annual thought leadership calendar for Turkey engagement, in cooperation with portfolio leads and leadership

Engagement Strategy & Budget: Owning the GTM strategy and budget planning activities for Turkiye, in parallel with ATÖLYE’s global portfolio approach.
Requirements
-
8+ years of demonstrable, relevant experience in professional services or consulting with a proven track record of new business development and client relationship management – including project scoping, teaming, pricing, negotiating

Masterful storytelling acumen with an appreciation for human-centered design, community-driven organizations, and purpose-driven businesses

Project Management experience in consulting /or studio set-up is a plus

Comfortable working in a feedback culture with excellent collaboration skills in managing multiple leads and client accounts simultaneously

Existing relationships with potential clients in Turkey (and beyond) is a plus

Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Turkish
