Senior Functional Safety Concept Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting of Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept
• Hazard Analysis Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA, DFA)
• Functional Safety Management Activities (e.g., Safety Case, Safety Plan, Status Report)
• Planning, coordination and implementation of functional safety relevant activities in customer projects from specification to validation
• Specification of requirements for safety-relevant functionalities
• Documentation and presentation of results
• Attending technical review meetings

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering, and preferably Master’s and/or Ph D qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
• Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
• Good communication, presentation and planning skills
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad

And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics:

• Hybrid Electric Vehicles and their EE sub-systems and components
• Automotive powertrains (Engine, Transmissions, Batteries, Electric Machines and Power Electronics)
• System Dynamics & Modelling, Controller Algorithm Design and Implementation
• MATLAB/Simulink, d SPACE/ETAS Tools, Hi L Simulators
• ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and similar standards
• Requirements and/or quality management
