Accounts & Order Fulfilment Administrator

The role
An opportunity has arisen to join the team at the heart of the business as an Administrator. You will be primarily based in our 3-person Accounts Department, working with, and reporting to the Accounts Manager. The role in the accounts department will only be for approximately 3 days per week, so the other 2 days per week will be working in the Order Fulfilment department, reporting to the Order Fulfilment Manager, completing a variety of administration work to support the smooth running of the department. Both roles are within the same office, next door to each other, with both departments already working closely together.
This a full time role for 40 hours per week.

Accounts Administrator
- Raising invoices to customers
- Answer the phone and take queries
- Accurately entering supplier invoices onto Sage
- Keeping a tight control of the filing
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Credit card and expenses processing
- Sending customer statements
- Calculating weekly timesheets and updating payroll hour slip spreadsheet
- Recording holidays using an Excel spreadsheet
- Completing a variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the transport desk
- Receive orders from customers and arrange transport accordingly
- Create and maintain good working relationships with hauliers and customers
- Manage stock on site using the Port Management and Transport System (PMTS)
- Creation and inputting of data into Excel spreadsheets
- Completion of checklists and inspections
- Communicate with customers and hauliers via phone calls and emails
- At least 1 years’ experience in an administration environment
- Understanding of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Outlook
- Attention to detail & ability to multitask
- Excellent accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work calmly with a positive attitude under pressure
- Good ability to navigate IT equipment e.g. computer
- Able to speak, read and write in fluent English
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A score of highly proficient or above in the attention to detail assessment
- Experience working in a transport or accounts environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage 50 Accounts is preferred but not essential
- Full time Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
- Preferred working hours of 0800 to 1630 hrs with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Salary of up to £28,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Annual pay review with the first review in December 2025
