CHP Plant Operator required to join the team at our Biomass CHP Plant in Exeter, Devon.
Your role will work to ensure the day to day safe, operations and maintenance of the power plant, drying system and Ad Blue manufacturing.

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (including weekend cover)
• Additional on call and call out payment structure and monthly performance bonus

You will need to be a practical worker who;

• is proactive and adaptable
• has a positive 'can-do’ work attitude
• enjoys working independently, but also as part of a team
• has the ability to undertake daily maintenance tasks
• is local and flexible to respond to alarms, and attend site, when on call

This role may suit someone with experience in:

• waste or recycling
• agriculture
• manufacturing

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and operating Biomass CHP plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous operations
• Recording and reporting daily equipment inspections, proactive and reactive maintenance
• Daily and scheduled cleaning and maintenance activities, including boiler cleans
• Responding to alarms and call outs within agreed timeframes
• Adherence to operational SOPs and Health and Safety procedures
• Assisting with the testing and treatment of boiler, cooling, and other plant water systems

Training will be given, but the following experience is beneficial:

• Specific Power plant operating experience
• Material handling and machine operating (JCB, fork lift and telehandler)
• Computerised control systems

Requirements

• Due to the site location and on call requirements, you will need to have your own transport.
• Due to the requirement of dust protection PPE, we have a clean shaven policy.
