Christmas General Operative (Pickers and Packers)

Based at our Fulfilment Depot at Kintore this role involves picking and/or packing frozen food orders for customers within a chilled environment. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.
Working hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 6am - 2pm. You must therefore be able to reliably commute to Kintore to start at this time. Some overtime should be expected, which will involve afternoon/weekend working.
This will be a fixed term contract from early October 2024 until late December 2024 / Mid January 2025.
The Duties:
- Picking and/or packing frozen customer orders to the exact specifications of the customer order on a daily basis
- Ensuring that orders are packed appropriately
- Operation of computer and barcode scanning equipment
- Working in a chilled and / or cold store/freezer environment
- Counting, moving, lifting and stacking products
- Providing support in dry ice/packing areas if required
- There may be a requirement for you to use hand or motorised lifting and moving equipment (full training will be provided)
- Previous experience within a food dispatch environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
- Ability to follow written procedures
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to work as part of a team, but also on own initiative
Pay: £11.66 per hour
