Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. Due to ongoing demand, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Basildon as a CNC Machine Setter.
CNC Machine Setter Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Machinery set-up
• Loading materials and unloading finished products
• Cut, grind or drill materials in machine as required – adjusting speeds, cutter paths and other machine settings as required
• Carefully following procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
• Maintaining an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
• Ensures machines are well stocked with tools and material to ensure limited downtime
• Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
• Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods

CNC Machine Setter Qualifications & Experience:

• Time served CNC Machinist
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
• Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures

CNC Machine Setter Skills & Behaviours:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions

You will work alternating shifts:

• Early Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6 am - 2 pm & Fri, 6 am - 1.30 pm
• Back Shift: Mon-Thurs, 1.45 pm - 9.45 pm & Fri, 1.15 pm - 8.45 pm
