CQC Deputy Manager - Young People's Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of our homes and we are looking for a Deputy Manager who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for our young people.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations. You are to lead, motivate and manage staff and home resources to ensure high standards of service are achieved within the home, exceeding regulatory standards. You will also be responsible for managing the budget and ensuring the business remains viable, and to meet and exceed the key performance indicators for people, quality, and performance.
No two days are ever the same, sometimes they may be challenging but they will always be positive and rewarding.

Essential Criteria:
- Be suitable to work with children and young people - the role involves working with young people and that it involves safeguarding responsibilities.
- Qualifications: A relevant Level 3 Diploma (e.g., Diploma in Residential Childcare) or equivalent qualification. (Desirable: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent).
- Experience: At least two years supervisor experience within a residential home environment with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Child-Centred Approach: Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, with a child-centred approach and a focus on promoting their well-being and development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements within a residential childcare setting.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
- Resilience: Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating resilience and professionalism at all times.
- Additional Qualifications: Training or qualifications in areas such as first aid, therapeutic interventions, or mental health support.
- IT Skills: Competency in using IT systems and software for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Driving License: Possession of a valid UK driving license and willingness to drive a company vehicle for business purposes i.e. taking children to school.
Pay: From £33,529.60 per year
