Business Development - Placements Officer - Ofsted Children's Service

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, assess, and process referrals in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Liaise with members of the SBC management team to make decisions regarding the successful placement of young people within SBC.
- Liaise effectively with external agencies, professionals, and stakeholders involved in the referral process.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely allocation and distribution of referrals to appropriate service teams.
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, offering support and guidance as required.
- Develop effective working relationships with local authority placement officers, commissioners, social workers, and social work teams.
- Undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required of a Placements Manager.
- Experience working within a similar role, preferably within a children's services environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Pay: From £34,000.00 per year
