We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join NHS Fife’s Medical Education team!

We are seeking an individual to fill a new role within our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a flexible approach to work.

The Undergraduate team is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of medical education to students on placement from various programmes, including the Scot COM programme, run through St Andrews University. The Hub Manager will integrate seamlessly into this team and collaborate with counterparts at our Education and Simulation Centres across other sites.

Our new Education Hub at Cameron Hospital features a simulated house environment, clinical skills suite, simulated GP environment, and other essential facilities for medical students pursuing this community-oriented degree. The Hub Manager will play a key role in establishing the Hub for teaching medical students, and over time, will expand its use into a fully functional teaching facility. This facility will be used for postgraduate education, by external agencies, to further partnerships with existing educational bodies, and more.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
