The British Polio Fellowship are looking for an experienced and versatile Fundraiser to operate a variety of fundraising pipelines and collaborate cross departmentally to ensure maximum financial support for the charity is achieved.
Duties and responsibilities
This role will require the candidate to be responsible for a number of different fundraising opportunities including but not limited to the following areas:

• Composing and submitting applications for funding to a variety of Trusts and Foundations.
• Curating support from high worth donors including; Organisations, Individuals and interested parties.
• Supporting individual and team fundraising efforts in sponsored events and challenges and completing the necessary reporting.
• Responsible for organising and running regular and one off fundraising initiatives such as appeals and raffles.
• Develop and maintain an individual donor database, producing communications to encourage further support.
• Identify opportunities to stock and sell merchandise.

Qualifications
Must have strong experience in a fundraising position or have transferable experience in a relevant field
Relevant degree or academic/ vocational qualifications would be desirable.
Advanced Word and Excel skills and Intermediate Outlook and Power Point skills.
Charity sector experience would be beneficial.
Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills with a very high degree of accuracy and eye for detail.
Excellent written skills with a strong vocabulary to write compelling narratives.
Ability to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise work, with proven experience in a demanding environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to work flexibly to meet tight and challenging deadlines.

Working at BPF
This is a part time 3 days a week position consisting of 21 hours per week. The British Polio Fellowship offers a hybrid working solution with regular attendance to our Watford offices.
Benefits include: 28 days holiday FTE, pension contribution (following successful completion of probationary period). The probation period for all permanent appointments is six months.
