What does the role involve?

• To conduct checks of rooms and public areas and discuss any defects with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure all areas meet agreed standards.
• To work with Management and Heads of Departments to assist in carrying out any special requirement or duties necessary to add to guests general comfort and enjoyment.
• To carry out Floor Supervisor duties when required including checking of VIP rooms and record all re-checks.
• Regular checks of rooms and sundry areas for hotels standard of maintenance and cleanliness, recording checks and compiling reports of checks to be discussed with Housekeeping Manager.
• Conducting stock check reports on a daily basis.
• Cleaning and preparing hotel bedrooms for guests, this includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, checking guest supplies and ensuring that the room is well presented and welcoming for our guests.
• Cleaning public areas and toilet facilities, as and when required.
• Carrying out general hotel cleaning duties, as and when required.

What are we looking for?

• Previous Housekeeping/cleaning experience, ideally within a hotel
• Good communication skills
• Pleasant mannerism and flexible, ‘can do’ attitude
• High standards and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexibly on a rota basis, weekend work is included, as well as work up to 7.00pm, depending on shifts
