Inside Sales Manager

Role Purpose and Primary Objective:
Are you ready to build and lead the daily operations of a dynamic Inside Sales team? Titon is seeking an Inside Sales Manager to be the cornerstone of our Window and Door Hardware sales team. Your mission is to revolutionise our customer management processes, ensure exceptional service delivery, and develop strategies to grow sales with existing Window and Door Customers.
About Inside Sales:
Inside sales is the practice of selling products or services remotely, typically from an office environment, leveraging technology such as phones, emails, video conferencing, and other digital communication tools. This model is vital for businesses aiming to reach a wide audience efficiently and effectively.
Key Aspects of Inside Sales:
  • Remote Engagement: Connect with customers primarily through digital and telephonic means.
  • Technology-Driven: Utilise CRM systems, inbound marketing, and social media tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
  • Efficiency: Reach a large number of prospects in a shorter time frame, enhancing productivity and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide a cohesive and seamless customer experience.
  • Customer-Centric: Focus on understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and building long-term relationships through consistent follow-up and support.
Core Accountabilities:
  • Lead and Develop: Mentor and develop the inside sales team to achieve sales targets, creating actionable plans to address any shortfalls.
  • Team Collaboration: Conduct regular meetings with sales managers to review performance, share best practices, and address challenges.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide proactive and effective service to all levels of internal and external customers, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Effective Communication: Manage interactions between Titon and its customers, addressing issues with pricing, service, delivery, or product conditions calmly and confidently, fostering a culture of prospecting for new business.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase customer retention and repeat business.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting sales strategies in response to market changes.
  • Relationship Management: Ensure the team maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships, handling high-level client interactions and escalations when necessary.
  • Efficiency Management: Oversee the team’s working efficiencies, such as resource allocation and service levels, developing, measuring, and reporting KPIs via CRM.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Pricing: Assist in setting price structures.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Partnerships: Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to support sales initiatives.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the external sales team to ensure smooth order handovers, clear communication, responsiveness, and understanding of commercial terms and responsibilities.
  • Forecasting: Work with the Sales Operations Manager and the external ASMs on producing a rolling forecast.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to office policies and manage health and safety procedures for the team.
  • Interdepartmental Meetings: Attend interdepartmental meetings to provide the voice of the customer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Essentials:
  • Proven experience as an Inside Sales Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise workload of self and team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisation skills and accurate record-keeping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade, and influence at all levels
  • Ability to identify process improvements and efficiencies, and to deliver them
  • Use of CRM software
Desirables:
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 system
  • Experience in Microsoft CRM software
  • A background in the supply of construction products, ideally in the fenestration industry
