Production Supervisor

The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Operating through a number of market leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a pro active production supervisor to join our busy and growing organisation. The successful candidate will be based at our site in Brierley Hill and will support the Operations Manager in the management of all operational activities including the leading and development of employees and achievement of production targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production activities and manage KPI metrics.
- Create and execute daily and weekly production schedules reporting any deviations to plan to the manager.
- Ensure correct procedures are implemented.
- Monitor and proactively reduce health and safety occurrences.
- Ensure deliverables are achieved.
- Support other departments collaboratively when there are changes to customer demand.
- Conduct consistent daily briefings with the team.
- Implement training and development plans for Team Leaders to include regular 1 to 1 performance reviews.
- Conduct all relevant HR processes such as absence management, return to work and disciplinary actions.
- Be frugal in your approach to improving and maintaining operational budgets.
- Manage agreed overtime budget.
Required experience/skills/qualifications:
- Minimum of three years within a manufacturing or process driven environment
- Previous supervisory experience – minimum of 1 year overseeing 10 or more associates.
- PC Literate-able to use SAP and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Good communication skills - must be able to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing.
