Job Summary:
The role of the Quality Engineer - Special Processes is to lead and support the NADCAP program to ensure all surveillance KPI's are met. The role requires experience of managing Aerospace Quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements whilst working with all departments to ensure compliance.
Excellent interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills are an essential part of the role. The successful candidate would be required to be flexible in their working duties and be able to travel to other UK sites if and when required.

Pay: £34,696.00-£38,666.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to all applicable requirements and customer standards
- Perform internal audits
- Work closely with subject matter experts to define Quality standards as well as ensuring all systems/databases are managed with updated information as necessary
- Use knowledge of Special Processes (Heat Treat, NDT, Chemical Processing etc) to evaluate and ensure ongoing compliance to new and existing standards
- As the individual accountable for assigned areas of work, the role holder will deliver their audits in a timely manner, whilst continuing to align with all applicable stakeholders
- To support first Article Inspection (FAI) activities incorporating APQP
- To support Final Release functions
- Strong organisation, planning and action plan capabilities
- Ability to manage effectively in a high pressure environment
- Ability to motivate, gain commitments and hold stakeholders accountable
- Proactive with an emphasis on continuous improvement

- Enthusiastic with a can do attitude
- ISO9001, AS9100 and NADCAP experience desired
- Engineering, Mechanical or Technical qualification and/or demonstrated work history within a similar role within an aerospace engineering or manufacturing environment
- Significant relevant quality experience gained in an engineering environment
- Full understanding of Quality requirements and contractual flow downs, in particular AS9100 Desired
- Knowledge of the NADCAP special processes audit procedure desired
- Special processes experience - NDTS or Heat Treatment experience Essential
- Extensive knowledge of the Aerospace industry and can demonstrate expertise in Aerospace systems, products and procedures
- Salary DOE
- Pension: 5% Min personal contribution, company contribution 3%
- Annual leave: 25 Days plus 8 BH
- Life insurance: 2x annual salary Death in Service
