We are looking for a QC Technician to join our team. You will be assisting the QC and workroom manager with a variety of tasks including day to day quality checks and communication with the relevant departments.
The successful candidate will ideally have a fashion related degree or relevant qualification and at least 2 years’ experience working in fashion/bridal wear. You will require an understanding of how to measure garments and patterns. Knowledge of understanding patterns is desirable but not required.
Main duties-
· Measuring dresses/accessories both on the stand and flat, ensuring it is within tolerance and in line with the ease. This will also include checking against the pattern.
· Visually checking dresses/accessories against our checklists and documenting any failures. Feedback will need to be communicated to the relevant in-house machinist/outworker.
· Preparing and documenting all notes and pictures on our system.
· Pack dresses ready for dispatch.
· Assist on reports including rework’s, QC failure feedback, workroom performance.
· Producing dispatch notes where required.
· Communicate any re-occurring issues with styles/patterns to Quality and Workroom manager and assist in finding solutions.
· Organise patterns and toiles.
Skills and experience required-
· Fashion or Textile related degree or relevant qualification.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience working in fashion/bridal wear.
· Understanding on measuring garments and patterns.
· Knowledge of altering patterns is preferrable. Experience working with Gerber is advantage.
· Ability to sew and understand construction techniques.
· A keen interest in luxury womenswear/bridalwear.
· Highly organised and proactive.
· Ability to use Microsoft programmes and our internal system.
· Flexible working approach and able to adapt to the needs of the team.
Salary and Benefits-
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm based at our Studio in Harlaxton- Grantham.
