You must have proven experience working with JCT and NEC contracts in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee tenders, contractor bids and proposals
-Pre contract negotiations
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Collaborate with site managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Assess and manage risks related to project costs
- Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts for ongoing projects
- Provide advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience of JCT and NEC contracts
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficient in cost estimation software and tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Skills:
- Cost control: Ability to monitor and manage project costs within budget constraints
