Role Overview
A Risk and Control Manager is required to be focused on analysing, developing and improving our clients Control Framework in a fast paced, high growth environment.
You will have expertise and experience of producing and designing Risk and Controls documentation (process flows, process narratives and Risk and controls matrixes) as well as experience of carrying out Design effectiveness assessments (DEA). Experience of remediation and managing relationships with external auditors and internal control and process owners is also required.
A background in project management and/or controls transformation is highly beneficial. Ideally also knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). You will have strong stakeholder management skills and be confident and be able to be persistent to ensure that all evidence required is obtained in a timely manner or any delays escalated immediately. You must have experience of designing and documenting Risk and Controls from scratch.
Key Responsibilities / Activities
· Business and/or IT controls experience, with a background in designing, challenging, optimising and rationalising risk & controls
· Hands on production of process documentation (process flows, process narrative and Risk and control matrixes) in some or all of the following areas:

• Credit card controls, Expenses, Spend Controls around key vendors, Use of agents & brokers

· Identify and document control objectives against risk assessments
· Provide active support to the Risk team during the risk assessment process
· Carry out design effectiveness assessments (DEA)
· Testing design and operational effectiveness (OET) of key controls
· Ability to resolve challenges and remediate any issues in a timely and effective manner
· Stakeholder reporting and relationship management with external and internal auditors
Qualifications / Skills

• 5 years + Private Sector Risk & Controls / SOX Experience or Controls transformation experience
• Hold an Accounting qualification
• Accounting, Auditing, Knowledge of Legal and Financial Systems
• Remediation experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications including Visio
