Science Technician
Part-time, term time plus role – 24 hours per week, 36 weeks per year.
We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to join our team in April 2025. The successful applicant will support the Science department by assisting with practical experiments, and ensuring laboratories are kept safe under the direction of the Science Laboratory Manager and the Head of Science.
As Science Technician your responsibilities will include –

• Support the Science teachers in experiments and lessons, aid
• all aspects of the manipulation of scientific materials.
• Clear, clean and store used practical materials with due regard to health and safety after lessons have been completed in the Science Department.
• Assist in Science lessons when required.
• Keeping the Science Department to a high level of maintenance, ensuring proper storage of hazardous materials.

What we are looking for –

• Educated to A Level or equivalent. (Essential)
• A good standard of English and Maths. (Essential)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. (Essential)
• Educated to degree level/equivalent in a Scientific Discipline. (Desirable)
• Experience as a Science Technician. (Desirable)
• Experience in working in a school environment. (Desirable)
