Role Scope:
Consortio Security are looking to recruit 2 competent Security Officers to join our successful team working day shifts at The Range Distribution Centre in Avonmouth post code BS35 4DF.
The successful candidates should be confident in undertaking separate roles and responsibilities as part of a team or by themselves.
To be considered for this role you must hold an active SIA License be it Close Protection, Door Supervisor or Security Guard. You must have an in date First Aid Qualification and have high levels of Customer Service skill as the role involves working with employees and site contractors. Preferably you will also have previous Logistical or Distribution experience.
If you do not have your own transport and are able to get to and from Avonmouth with ease, do not apply, the site is isolated with limited support from public transport, and short term it will work but you won’t have longevity in the role.
If you have a can-do attitude and a will to succeed you will be successful in the recruitment process and the subsequent role. If you lack people skills or struggle to communicate, please do not apply for this role.
This role would suit someone who is flexible, able to think on their feet, who is able to constantly prioritise tasks ensuring that the most critical issues are dealt with first and foremost. You must be happy to be busy and pro-active whilst at work, anyone who wants a role where they are sat down for long periods of time should NOT apply. Anyone applying must be comfortable with adhering to personal boundaries at all times, poor behaviour will not be tolerated.
If you cannot fully commit to a 4 on 4 off working pattern long term you should not apply, this will be discussed in great detail during the interview.

Job Description:
Purpose of the role: To provide an efficient and professional security service to Consortio Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of customer service.
Duties:

• Control access and egress, utilising the equipment and systems provided
• Ensure clients’ staff, property, and other assets are secure
• Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
• Accurately operate designated alarm systems
• Monitor CCTV footage for the protection of property and assets overtly and covertly
• Complete the daily log, noting all appropriate activity
• Produce accurate reports as and when needed
• Conduct sufficient internal and external patrols to ensure the security of all zones
• Ensure all procedures, site/assignment instructions, and protocols are followed; being particularly diligent when in an emergency
• Conduct vehicle and person searches ensuring that the integrity of the site is always maintained
• Seal checks on all inbound and outbound trailers
• Maintain tidy and clean work areas
• Be an effective ambassador for Consortio Security, always smart and diligent.

The above duties are subject to additional duties as per the site’s Assignment Instructions; however, if there is a conflict of duties, the AIs’ will prevail.
Essential Requirements:

• A current SIA Licence – Carried on your person at all times whilst on duty
• Smart appearance, following the Consortio uniform requirements to the letter
• Good verbal communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable, clearly spoken

• Possesses computer literacy of at least a basic level
