Due to another contract win Consortio Security are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Site Security Supervisor to supervise a new team at a Business Park (BP) site in Coventry, Postcode CV8 3BB.
The successful candidate should be confident in undertaking supervisory roles and responsibilities as part of a team and by themselves.
To be considered for this role you must hold a SIA License’s be it Close Protection, Door Supervisor or Security Guard. You must have an in date First Aid qualification and have excellent Customer Service skills as well as a full UK Driving License, as the role involves driving a company vehicle across the BP.
You must have excellent Supervisory skills as the role involves Supervising a team of 7 Security Officers who will complete many different tasks from day to day ensuring that compliance across the site is of the highest standard. If you have the IOSH Managing Safely Qualification then brilliant it will be required, if not you will be expected to undertake this course in the first 3 months of you employment. Your team will undertake such roles and responsibilities as CCTV patrols, vehicle patrols as well as foot patrols, you will be expected to liaise with the many different brands on the BP ensuring as a collective group the BP is as safe and secure as it can possibly be. You will ensure that your team ensure that no illegal parking is undertaken and will communicate with many different languages.
If you have a can-do attitude, a will to succeed and can evidence previous supervisory positions with a full intent on learning and becoming better then you will be successful in the recruitment process and the subsequent role. If you lack supervisory experience, people skills or struggle to communicate, please do not apply for this role as you won’t be successful.
This role would suit someone who is flexible, able to think on their feet, who is able to constantly prioritise tasks ensuring that the most critical issues are dealt with first and foremost. You must have a sharp eye and have strong attention to detail skills as you will be spinning many different plates at times. Anyone wanting a role where they are sat down for 12 hours per day need not apply.
Anyone NOT completing the Indeed Assessments WILL NOT move forward to the next stage of our recruitment process. A telephone vetting and screening interview will take place and any unsuitable candidates will not be put forward for a face-to-face interview with the Regional Operations Manager.
All site training will take place prior to the mobilisation date of the 11th November 2024.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of the role: To provide an efficient and professional security service to Consortio Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism, customer service and integrity.
MAIN DUTIES:
Main Duties are to Supervise a team of 7 Security Officers whilst controlling of all access and egress to site, booking staff and visitors onto the site, patrolling the site internally and externally to remove any unwanted visitors, immediate first aid management prior to the emergency services attending the site, fire evacuation and testing procedures, coordinating safe movement of staff and visitors whilst they are on site as well as incident management. You will be responsible for the building of the site roster and the uploading of it onto our T&A Systems.
DUTIES:
- Control all access and egress, utilising the equipment and systems provided.
- Ensure all visitors to site are cleared through our National Control Centre (NCC) prior to allowing access.
- Ensure clients’ staff, property and other assets are always secure.
- Site Health and Safety and building well-being checks must be carried out as directed by your Regional Operations Manager.
- Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally.
- Accurately operate designated alarm systems.
- Monitor CCTV footage for protection of property and assets.
- Ensure no illegal parking takes place on site at any time.
- Ensure that the site speed limit is adhered to at all times.
- Create a strong working relationship with all of the BP brands ensuring there is a collective approach to protecting the BP and its assets and people.
- Complete the daily log, noting all appropriate activity.
- Produce accurate reports as and when needed.
- Conduct sufficient internal and external patrols to ensure security of all zones utilizing technical capabilities.
- Ensure all procedures, site / Assignment Instructions and protocols are always followed; being particularly diligent when in an emergency.
- Always maintain tidy and clean work areas.
- Thorough cleaning handover of all areas prior to handover from shift to shift
- Ensuring personal boundaries are always adhered to making sure that the line is never crossed.
- Always book on and off your shift utilising the site mobile phone.
- Be an effective ambassador for Consortio, always smart and diligent with elevated levels of integrity.
- Previous Business Park (BP) Supervisory experience is essential.
- Ensuring all staff adhere to the site AI’s, SRA, and H&S RA always.
- Always make sure staff book on and off, recording all incidents through the proper channels.
- Ensure all staff complete check calls during silent hours.
- Conduct investigations and disciplinaries as and when required.
- Assist with the recruitment of any new staff.
SHIFT PATTERN AVAILABLE:
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day shift pattern with a shift change over time of 07:00 and 19:00, totalling 60 hours per week.
