Senior Commercial Manager
Location - Cheltenham (Central)

Who are you?
With experience in the battery storage or energy industry, you have got a strong understanding of issues facing the sector. You will feel comfortable strategising around the development of business, and enhancing the company’s market position. With great interpersonal skills and commercial understanding, you will be able to easily build relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
Responsibilities:
Heading up the Commercial and Business Development team, you will be responsible for overseeing all currently operational commercial ventures, looking at operational revenue, and live project tenders. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing effective commercial strategies, in alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Identifying new business opportunities, market trends, and regulatory opportunities Noriker can seize to expand our commercial standing
  • Assist with and oversee the analysis of flexible energy market dynamics and competition to formulate strategies to capitalise on emerging trends, optimising business performance
  • Maintain an understanding of regulations which may impact risk and opportunity for the business
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments across the company to ensure commercial alignment
  • Monitor team performance metrics, prepare reports and present to senior management for informed decision making
  • Work closely with the MD to support key project off-taking and financial relationships within a corporate environment
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to promote strategic alliances and objective to enhance company opportunity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a commercial manager or similar position within the Battery Storage or Energy Sector
  • A strong track record of successful commercial strategic development and implementation
  • Strong leadership skills, being able to effectively lead a multi-disciplinary team towards common commercial goals
  • Excellent skills with negotiation, communication, and general interpersonal ability
  • An analytical mindset, with proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools to establish defensible decision making
  • In-depth understanding of market research, business development and financial principles
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced, occasionally high pressure environment
