This post is temporary for 1 year to cover maternity leave.
We are looking for a part time Senior Peer Support Workers to join our team working in Chippenham, Wiltshire. This is part of a Mental Heath framework that will sit alongside and compliment those provided by primary and secondary care.
This role has been developed for people with lived experience who can build relationships and help service users work towards their recovery pathway. The Senior Peer Support Worker will work as part of a team that provides initial introductions with people in a safe setting, focusing on the direct needs of the individuals ensuring a collaborative approach to meet the needs of the clients and their identified goals.
Car driver required with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.

- Part time contract available to work 22.5 hours per week.

- You must be currently resident in the UK.

- To work with clients in helping them to manage their emotional wellbeing and supporting their mental health.
- Provide respite for clients in the delivery of a safe and calm environment.
- To be the first point of contact for visitors who may require assistance/assessment to access the service.
- Provide support to clients who have previously been assessed.
- Work with multiagencies.
- Collect and collate data used for key performance indicators and support outcomes.
- Assist with the responsibility for the Health and Safety of the building, yourself, so-workers and clients.
- Encourage clients to attend routine health care appointments.
- Work on own initiative in providing and promoting the service.
- Participate in community initiatives.
- To undertake training as required to promote development of skills.
All staff will be required to complete training on Safeguarding Adults and Young People within their first week of employment.
