About The Role
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager for our production site in Hayes.
Working closely with our Production team on all technical matters, you will ensure that the Company maintains its SALSA status annually and operates to that as a minimum standard daily.

About The Role
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager for our production site in Hayes.
Working closely with our Production team on all technical matters, you will ensure that the Company maintains its SALSA status annually and operates to that as a minimum standard daily.
Responsibilities
- Develop, promote and roll out high level technical processes throughout the business in order to build a best-in-class bakery production facility.
- Make sure technical activities are robustly structured and managed to comply with all relevant industry standards and legislation.
- Be responsible for driving a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement throughout the business by managing technical risks, ensuring customer technical requirements are met and business process systems are in place.
- Ability to understand technical issues fully while being able to explain them and the processes and solutions required to deal with them to non-technical colleagues in a way that is engaging and gains support.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management and HACCP systems.
- Promote quality across the business and drive and deliver quality improvement.
- Manage non-conformances and undertake internal and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits.
- Review hygiene standards throughout the business.
- Develop, roll out and manage the Food Policy for the Company.
- Relevant and demonstrable work experience.
- Food science degree or equivalent.
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance both technical and business needs.
- Motivational and inspirational leader with superior decision-making skills and assertiveness.
- Hands on approach to the role, the team and getting things done.
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent report writing skills.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of diverse stakeholders, and align the team to the technical strategy to achieve goals.
