Carmarthenshire County Council
UASC Support Worker
FULL TIME
October 16, 2024
We are committed to recruiting, retaining, and developing a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Sharing your equality monitoring data allows us to assess the impact our recruitment and employment policies and practices have and gives us the opportunity to improve them where possible. Equality monitoring information is not accessible by recruiting managers at any stage.
We are seeking Support Workers to work specifically with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children in a newly established team. You will work as part of the team supporting young people in their homes, placements and community.
Working in partnership with service users, their carers and other professionals, you will support Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children and practice in a person centred and outcome focussed way. As part of this role you will work with social workers and personal advisers to help young people meet their full potential, manage their tenancies, support with life skills, social activities and attend education.
You in turn will receive regular supervision and be part of a supportive environment in which there will be opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
The ability to travel within the county is essential.
