Job Description
Job Summary:
The focus of this position is managing and overseeing the giving program(s) and aligning development plans with the annual major events at the Friends of the Saint Paul College Foundation under the Advancement division of Saint Paul College. The individual in this position is responsible for securing funding through various giving programs, including major giving, annual giving, planned giving, and employee giving, ensuring the foundation has the necessary funds to support its goals, initiatives, and mission. Additionally, the role is vital in building and maintaining relationships with donors and stakeholders, therefore contributing to the Foundation’s reputation and community impact.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of successful experience in fundraising.
  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • Interest in education and a dedication to promoting the college’s fundraising priorities through developing excellent relationships with faculty, academic leaders, staff, other fundraising professionals, volunteers, and other supportive members/areas of the college community.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in developing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to lead discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Computer skills and a general working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to embrace the culture and values of Saint Paul College as well as the ability to articulate the College mission.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in using Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM platform.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience working with a 501©(3) non-profit corporation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in development, including annual and major gift-giving.
