Barista (Food Service Worker) Saint Paul College Food Service Worker 203: AFSCME - Service St. Paul Non Job Exempt Part time Classified - Seasonal (Seasonal)

• Provide customer service and assistance to students, faculty, staff and guests in the Coffee Shop, Café and/or Catering events.
• Preparation and Service of food and beverage – daily production of beverages per guest order, assisting in preparing food for line, working the grille, fryer, front window, setting up stations and checking for proper serving temperatures, serving proper portions.
• Cashiering – checking entire order and repeating what the customer is paying for and processing cash, credit card, gift card, house charges.
• Stocking of all items for Coffee Shop.
• Catering service and assistance.

• Six (6) months food service work experience and cashiering experience.
• Six (6) months Barista experience.
• Superior customer service skills and initiative to deliver the best service possible to students, staff and members of the community.
• Familiarity with use of Espresso Machines.
• Ability to take and follow through with tasks as instructed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to move carts, and transport boxes up to 40lbs.
• Assist with daily and weekly deliveries, stocking and rotating items to insure freshness.

• One (1) or more years’ experience in food service, Barista experience.
• Experience with Point of Sales systems, counting money and making change.
• Knowledge or training in policies and procedures related to food service operations.
• Experience working equipment, IE: espresso machines, ovens, dishwasher, grilles, fryers.
• Experience in catering services.
