Winter Lights, our largest fundraiser, transforms our gardens into a dazzling display of lights during November and December, creating an enchanting experience for all who visit. As part of our seasonal team, you'll help bring this wonder to life, ensuring that our guests enjoy a cozy, memorable evening surrounded by beauty. If you're looking to spread holiday cheer and be part of something special, we'd love to have you on board!
There are 3 Guest Service Leads scheduled each night of the event: One in admissions and one in each of the two buildings. The Leads are the primary contact/resource for other staff and for guests at the event. This role will focus on building mangement. Duties will include answering guest and staff questions, providing excellent customer service through various forms of communication, checking in volunteers and staff for their shifts, monitoring radio activity during the event, assisting the cocoa shack and/or cocoa cabin with change if necessary, and other event-operation duties as assigned. The Building Leads coordinate with the Producer to serve guests, staff, and volunteers and help keep the event running smoothly.
Still not sure? Join us at The North Carolina Arboretum (100 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Asheville, NC 28806) for a job fair on Wednesday, September 25, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and learn more about us and our seasonal openings.

This position is responsible for helping set up exterior music devices and prepare the building for guests.
