Trusted Mission Processing (TMP) provides embedded processing solutions for rugged real-time applications. We are seeking a Whole Life Engineering (WLE) Section Leader to support multiple programs within TMP.
Successful candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an engineers with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.

This position is onsite in Mc Kinney, TX and requires a current/active US Secret security clearance.

What YOU Will Do:

• Manage cost, schedule, and ensure technical accuracy of WLE products and services
  
• Reliability, maintainability, and built-in-test (BIT) analyses
  
• Safety & human factors engineering (HFE) analyses
  
• Tracking and leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  
• Participate in program reviews with a WLE focus to ensure they meet internal & external customer requirements
  
• Mentor employees and aid in career development
  
• Conduct performance appraisals
  
• Manage staffing including hiring and program placement
  

What YOU Will Learn:

• Learn, discover and expand your knowledge about mission processing systems and other various engineering disciplines
  
• Learn about Command, Control, Communications, Cyber and whole Intelligence (C4I) within Mission Systems

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

• Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience
  
• Experience leading a technical team in a fast-paced environment
  
• Experience leading a team of engineers, including oversight of schedules and budgets
  
• Experience with Earned Value Management
  
• Experience working competitive proposals
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with program management, functional leads and government customer.
  
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in the mission processing domain
  
• Experience as a Product Support or Integrated Logistics Support Manager (PSM / ILSM)

Employee Referral Eligible

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
