APS5 Senior Case Officer

- Location: Melbourne CBD
- Working Arrangements: In office fulltime
- Assignment up to a duration of 9 months (till 30th June 2025) + Potential Extension
- Hourly Rate: $55.22/Hour + Super
- Anticipated hours: 37.5 Hours per week
- Ideal Start Date: ASAP
The Specialised Case Management Section manages the high-risk child and adult passport applications to provide consistent decision making in complex circumstances
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Managing complex or sensitive passport application cases in accordance with legislation, policy, and standard operating procedures.
- Providing advice on routine interpretation of court orders, policy application, and procedures to staff.
- Responding to a high volume of customer enquiries, including communicating regularly with customers.
- Developing and maintaining internal relationships and external relationships to maintain up to date knowledge vital to the management of complex passport cases
- Contributing to the review and development of continuous improvement initiatives which improve the way we work, and the service we provide to our customers
- Contributing to the preparation of talking points and/or Ministerial and departmental correspondence on high profile/sensitive cases.
- Previous customer service and complaints management experience would be highly advantageous
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both oral and written
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn systems quickly
- Ability to set goals and manage competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Shows initiative and problem-solving skills.
