About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Conference and Events Operations Manager to join our talented team at RACV City Club.

This could be just the right role for you?

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, we’re looking for a superstar who can be responsible and effectively manage our Conference & Events (C&E) food & beverage team.

Leadership - Provide effective leadership to the C&E food & beverage team, delivering excellent guest services that provide value and benefit.
Service – Oversea the C&E team, providing advice & direction to staff, ensuring operational procedures and best practice standards are followed, and a high level of service is delivered and maintained to our guests.
Operations - Manage the smooth daily operation of C&E including operational, financial, and HR efficiencies. Identify continuous improvements to our service and operational delivery.
People – Provide leadership and effective resource management through recruitment, training, rostering and performance management.
Financial & Reporting - Maintain business activities within the operational budget allocation. Provide innovative ideas for revenue generation and cost reduction. Ensure staff levels reflect anticipated business levels to maximise labour.
Business Planning - Contribute to business planning, report industry trends and identify opportunities for business growth

What you’ll need to be successful

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role of a 5-star hotel environment
Experience in coordinating/ planning high volume of Corporate Events, Residential Conferences and AGMs
Sound understanding of F&B operations & the event management industry
Prior experience in staff management, training and HR practices.
Excellent business acumen and experience in budgeting, planning, forecasting & controlling.
Strong knowledge of labour costs and other expenses.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex issues.
The ability to build internal & external professional relationships.
