The Role

Be a part of a project to redevelop the end-to-end actuarial valuation process. This initial contract is for 6 months, however for the right candidate there is potential for the contract to be extended.

You'll be responsible for

Reviewing the data mapping of source system policy and claims data to the new reserving data mart being built.
Completing user acceptance testing on new processes to deliver data extracts for the reserving valuations, including comparisons to existing extracts and SAS datasets, investigation and trouble shooting of variances.
Providing support to the existing valuation team through the implementation of the new valuation processes and models.
Liaising with the IT teams building and developing new system solutions, including workflow automation.

About you

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations.
Python coding (for new process build)
SAS coding capability (new data sets will be compared to existing data sets that reside on SAS)
Understanding of actuarial valuation models
Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
