The Role
Be a part of a project to redevelop the end-to-end actuarial valuation process. This initial contract is for 6 months, however for the right candidate there is potential for the contract to be extended.


You'll be responsible for
  • Reviewing the data mapping of source system policy and claims data to the new reserving data mart being built.
  • Completing user acceptance testing on new processes to deliver data extracts for the reserving valuations, including comparisons to existing extracts and SAS datasets, investigation and trouble shooting of variances.
  • Providing support to the existing valuation team through the implementation of the new valuation processes and models.
  • Liaising with the IT teams building and developing new system solutions, including workflow automation.


About you
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations.
  • Python coding (for new process build)
  • SAS coding capability (new data sets will be compared to existing data sets that reside on SAS)
  • Understanding of actuarial valuation models
  • Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
