The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the Mission Systems Simulation Laboratory located in the Brisbane CBD. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the electronics, communication and/or networking. As the local Ground Support Systems Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the ongoing Maintenance and Engineering support activities for the ground-based mission systems conducted from Brisbane.
Responsibilities

Maintaining & Operating advanced Mission System Simulators & Lab equipment in a fast-paced environment
Installation and Integration of engineered modifications and upgrades to the Simulation hardware and connectivity.
Maintenance and Repair of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) enterprise data and communications equipment.
Troubleshooting to isolate faults and repair faulty devices.

Experience/Qualifications

Minimum Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or related qualification and industry experience is essential.
Exceptional analytical, complex problem solving and communication skills and an ability to build strong stakeholder relationships is essential.
A National Restricted Electrical or Qualified Electrical Supervisor License, or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
Networking, IT and Linux based systems knowledge is desirable.
A current AGSVA NV2 security clearance is desirable (ability to attain and hold essential).

Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
