• Minimum 2-3 years cooking BREAKFAST and LUNCH.
• Certificate III or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or above is desirable
• English Language Ability, suitable to work
• Potential for sponsorship visa after 6 months proven proficiency.
• Sponsorship is a possibility for the right candidate proven proficiency.

The role:

• Cooking Breakfast and Lunch.
• Chef position will assist the head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, budgeting, cost control, stock take, rostering and reporting
• Chef position will provide supervision of the kitchen operations and staff
• Chef position will assist head chef in menu design
• Preparing and cooking food to a benchmark standard for the restaurant;
• Ensuring that the meals are prepared, produced, presented and served to the highest possible standards;
• Working in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations;
• Ordering stock under the direction of the Chef;
• Checking deliveries as per order sheets;
• In collaboration with the head Chef and other kitchen staff contribute to the planning and development of recommendations for improved work procedures;
• Handle complaints and customer suggestions in a professional manner;
• Upholding and maintaining correct standards of hygiene and safety;
• Undertake, as required, training which may be deemed necessary;
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen crew and other members of staff;
• Any additional duties associated with the kitchen or food production as directed by the Chef or management.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Summary of role requirements:

• Expected salary: $56,160- $68,250 per year + Super
• Possibility of sponsorship after 6 months, upon demonstrating proficiency.
