Technical Specialist (New Brand)

About the Role
Based in BYD's Sydney office in Macquarie Park, this role will support our upcoming New Brand. On offer is a Technical Specialist position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of new energy vehicles (NEV), delivering product training to the Australasian market.
- Collaborate with BYD China to develop vehicles tailored for the RHD Australasian market, overseeing vehicle testing and providing detailed analysis reports.
- Assist the local BYD distributors in rolling out of new models, offering technical, commercial, and regulatory support for product localization and market launch.
- Support the engineer teams for the rollout of software updates, contributing to the development of BYD in-vehicle digital experience.
- Manage the importation and testing of pre-production vehicles, working closely with BYD China to develop testing plans and vehicle requirements for the Australasian market.
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- 3 years experience in the Automotive Industry or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, coupled with effective public speaking abilities.
