Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Specialist, Securities Lending to provide service directly related to the Securities Lending Desk in Toronto. This position requires an ability to work independently in a high-volume, pressure-oriented environment. Inherent system deadlines require the successful candidate to possess very strong organizational and prioritization skills. Additionally, the ability to balance these significant challenges and interact effectively with others is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate settlements of borrows, loans, returns, and mark to market transactions;
- Collateral management and movements related to securities lending;
- Daily/Monthly internal and external reconciliation of securities lending accounts with counterparties;
- Liaise with other departments within Canaccord in resolve various issues relating to securities lending such as Corporate actions, buy ins, settlement issues;
- Monthly Billing (internal & external).
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years of related industry experience;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities;
- Detail oriented, with superior analytical and problem solving skills;
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong data entry skills; accuracy and efficiency is required;
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (Macros) and Outlook;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
- Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively under pressure;
- Working knowledge of Securities Lending and Loanet an asset;
- Knowledge of Dataphile system, CDS and DTC an asset.
