Research Location: Remote/Flexible
Commitment: Part-time, Flexible Hours, At least 5 to 10 hours per week.

Our 1000 Seeds Program is a transformative initiative designed to connect businesses with newcomers, offering short-term employment opportunities that help them gain valuable work experience and build their careers.
Position Overview:
We are looking for proactive and compassionate Volunteer Job Placement Managers to join our 1000 Seeds Program team. As a Job Placement Manager, you will play a crucial role in matching newcomers with short-term employment opportunities, internships, and mentorship programs. You will work closely with the Program Director to identify suitable placements, develop relationships with employers, and ensure the success of our participants.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify Job Placement Opportunities: Work with local businesses and employers to identify and secure short-term job placements, internships, and mentorship opportunities for program participants.
  • Match Participants with Opportunities: Assess the skills, experience, and career goals of newcomers to match them with appropriate job placements that align with their aspirations.
  • Support Participants and Employers: Provide ongoing support to both participants and employers throughout the placement process, addressing any challenges and ensuring a positive experience for all parties.
  • Collaborate with Program Director: Work closely with the Program Director to align placement strategies with the overall goals of the 1000 Seeds Program and ensure a seamless participant experience.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Placements: Track the progress and outcomes of job placements, collecting feedback from both participants and employers to continuously improve the program.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and employers to expand the network of available placements.
  • Promote the Program: Advocate for the 1000 Seeds Program within the community, raising awareness of its benefits and encouraging more businesses to participate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Recruitment or Job Placement: Prior experience in recruitment, job placement, or human resources, particularly with a focus on workforce development or community programs.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of participants and employers, fostering positive relationships and partnerships.
  • Matching and Assessment Skills: Ability to assess participants’ skills and match them with suitable job placements that align with their career goals.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple placements, track progress, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that arise during the placement process and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with the Program Director and other team members to ensure the success of the program.
  • Cultural Competence: Understanding and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, with a focus on creating inclusive work environments.
  • Passion for Community Service: A genuine commitment to helping newcomers succeed and contributing to the economic and cultural diversity of the community.
