MEP Fit-Out Coordinator

Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of MEP design and engineering experience for tenant fit-out projects within the commercial real estate sector in Egypt; and must hold an Engineering degree, relevant degrees and or accreditations. The candidate must possess a strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices, complemented by exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate must be a highly skilled professional with proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and a solid understanding of industry practices and tools to join our dynamic team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as this role will require working closely with cross-functional teams, clients, tenants, service provider/contractors and stakeholders. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously while effectively prioritizing tasks is crucial for success in this position.
Job Description:
The role requires a detail-oriented MEP Coordinator to serve as the main point of contact between tenants, design professionals, contractors, and building management throughout the fit-out process and ongoing operations. The successful candidate will assist in the comprehensive review of MEP drawings for retail and office spaces, ensuring compliance with the latest regional and international codes as well as the mall's design criteria. This role involves coordinating and monitoring the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while adhering to plans, specifications, and quality standards. The MEP Coordinator will schedule and conduct inspections and examination of MEP systems to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements. Proactive problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and resolving MEP-related issues or conflicts, with a focus on achieving timely resolutions and minimizing impacts on project timelines. Additional responsibilities including but not limited to preparing snag lists and tracking tools to guarantee on-time unit openings that meet world-class retail and office standards, testing and commissioning tenant MEP installations, and maintaining accurate records and documentation related to installations, including progress reports and verification of as-built drawings.
The successful candidate will collaborate and work alongside the operations teams, taking active involvement in the day-to-day requirements, activations, and operations of the mall and or property.
The role requires a flexible, proactive, and dynamic individual, that will be available to work on shift rotation and during the weekends.
The candidate will undertake deliverables aligned with varied scope of works and or client requirements.
