As an Application Engineer for the Energy Storage Systems will be responsible for the technical development and optimization of commercial energy storage solutions, ensuring they meet customer requirements while aligning with the company's quality, timeliness, and efficiency targets. You will act as the bridge between customer needs and Sunlight’s technical responses, aiming to exceed minimum tender requirements with optimized solutions.

As an Application Engineer for the Energy Storage Systems will be responsible for the technical development and optimization of commercial energy storage solutions, ensuring they meet customer requirements while aligning with the company's quality, timeliness, and efficiency targets. You will act as the bridge between customer needs and Sunlight’s technical responses, aiming to exceed minimum tender requirements with optimized solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Defines the best combination of available options to provide the best possible technical fit for each Energy Storage offer to be issued to customers;
- Revises in accordance with the project’s specificity, the Bill of Material of the selected solution;
- Delivers to the Commercial Operations Managers the technical solution on-time;
- Achieves the target win rate, in each market, in cooperation with the Commercial Operations Manager;
- Coordinates and runs the Technical reviews, technical alignments, technical Q&A’s rounds, deviation lists, compliance list, for each single Energy Storage project he/she is in charge for;
- Gets ready and delivers the needed customized pre-order technical documentation, such as SLD’s, General Arrangements, Preliminary Datasheets, Preliminary Quality Control Plans, Testing Plans;
- Provides the full technical support to the Commercial Operations Manager for the quantification of warranty costs, long term services costs, warranty remedy procedures, Long Term Services procedures and plans
- Engineering background or other equivalent technical expertise;
- 3+ years of experience as an Application Engineer in the Energy, Renewables or Electricity sector;
- Experience in technical-commercial roles in the energy and/or large power electronics sector will be an asset;
- Self-starter, task-oriented, determination to deliver on commitments;
- Fluency in English language, both spoken and written;
