Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an experienced EHS Engineer to join our EHS Department. The role is responsible for a specific area of the plant by supervising the implementation of health and safety procedures and by promoting a safety mindset culture. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.

The role is responsible for a specific area of the plant by supervising the implementation of health and safety procedures and by promoting a safety mindset culture. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes :
- Provides EHS expertise to a specific area of the plant
- Supervises the implementation of occupational health ,safety and accident prevention measures
- Investigates accidents and safety related incidents including near misses; issues reports and proposes mitigation measures to prevent recurrences
- Leads / facilitates risk assessments and root cause analysis
- Ensures the proper use of personal protective equipment. Assists in the selection of the appropriate equipment and monitors their effectiveness
- Ensures PPEs in warehouse are available as per min-max
- Ensures that site employees adhere to the rules of health and safety at work. Informs and guides employees to prevent occupational hazards related to their work
- Conducts safety meetings with all personnel to share Lessons Learned, best practices and safety observations
- Coordinates Health and Safety topics with the occupational Doctor
- Provides weekly, monthly and annual safety reports as required
- Promotes safety mindset culture by ensuring that safety procedures and policies are followed
- 2+ years of working experience as in the same role in industrial/ manufacturing environment
- Degree in Engineering or Environmental Mechanics and Management
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Fluency in English & Greek
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
