Candidate profile

• Ex Chief Engineer in Bulk carriers.
• Degree in Engineering to be considered a plus.
• Command of Greek and English language, Computer literacy and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Availability for frequent travelling is a prerequisite.

Job Description

• Ensures Health, Safety and the Environment are top priority.
• Ensures vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, in compliance with Class, Statutory and Seanergys’ Safety Management system requirements.
• Monitor closely the performance of the vessels and evaluate the condition of facilities and machineries as to provide technical expertise and support to the Master and the Chief Engineer of the vessel.
• Oversee the maintenance (PMS) and repairs of the vessels, including supervising subcontractors, evaluating defects and arranging for dry-docks, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Follow up stock of spares, lubes and chemicals and liaise with the relevant department in order to coordinate the orderings of the items and provide final approval.
• Prepare assigned vessels annual budgets of spares, repairs, lubs, etc., review OPEX and report to the Technical Manager with regard to deviations/discrepancies.
• Vessel visits to confirm condition and compliance with company’s standards.
