What We are looking for
We are looking for a dedicated Tech Ops Manager with a passion for technology operations and a commitment to continuous improvement. In this role, you will lead the Tech Ops team to ensure efficient, seamless operations across all shifts, aligning daily technical activities with our service management goals. Acting as the primary point of contact for Tech Ops, you will work closely with stakeholders to resolve incidents, manage escalations, and drive operational improvements. This position plays a critical role in aligning Tech Ops initiatives with broader organizational objectives to support our commitment to excellence.
What you will work on
- Manage and mentor Tech Ops Shift Leaders, ensuring effective team management, smooth operational handovers, and accountability across the team
- Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident resolution and coordinate escalations as necessary
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance Tech Ops operational performance, aligning with broader service management objectives
- Oversee incident management, ensuring prompt resolution of high-priority (P1 and P2) incidents and proper handling of lower-priority (P3 and P4) issues
- Serve as the main point of contact for Tech Ops, communicating with stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and report on performance
- Monitor Tech Ops performance, implementing improvements to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs)
- Coordinate between shifts to ensure smooth transitions, optimal resource allocation, and balanced workload management
- Identify and lead operational efficiency initiatives and process improvements within the Tech Ops function
- Oversee Tech Ops staff training and development, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge needed for optimal performance
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management
What you bring
- BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or equivalent) are considered a strong asset
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations, service/incident management, or a similar technical role, with a proven track record in team management
- Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles and operational processes
- Experience in incident and problem management, with a focus on service management best practices
- Proficiency in incident management tools, monitoring systems, and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Grafana)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle complex projects effectively
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate the team
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
