Assistant Manager - Talent Acquisition

As part of the creation of a Talent Acquisition function within the HR Centre of Excellence, we are seeking an experienced Recruiter with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills to support non-academic hiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage high-volume recruitment for assigned client groups at HKUST.
  • Ensure a positive, pro-active experience for hiring managers through supporting the end-to-end recruitment process, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening and interviewing as well as offer management.
  • Utilise different candidate sourcing techniques to identify internal and external talent, such as direct search, social media, job boards, internal mobility and referrals.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to provide expert talent acquisition advice and solutions.
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance our hiring manager and candidate experience through reviewing processes and systems.
  • Manage and deliver value-add Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as assigned by HRO.
  • Work with third-party vendors and suppliers, including recruitment agencies.
The Candidate:

The successful individual will have a record of partnering with different business groups to fulfil their hiring needs. Desired attributes include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience, gained within an agency, in-house and / or RPO environment.
  • Experience using different tools and technology to successfully source candidates, proficient with using MS Office packages.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and teamwork skills; able to communicate and influence.
  • Comfortable working to KPI’s including hiring efficiency, cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates the values of inclusivity, diversity and respect in how they interact with others.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
