Finance Manager

The role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budget processes, conducting financial analysis, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
- Conduct monthly reviews of financial statements, perform variance analysis, and provide insights.
- Assist in the preparation of the University's annual budget and analyze budget proposals.
- Compile Common Data Collection Format (CDCF) reports and fulfill financial reporting requirements.
- Support financial matters for subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Mainland China, including reviewing reports and financial statements.
- Review insurance policies, handle claims, and ensure compliance with established policies.
- Lead projects to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in universities, NGOs, or sizable organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently under pressure, and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- Preferred experience in Mainland China accounting activities.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
