Assistant Manager- Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions- Mainland China

Job Posting Details

The appointee will support the student recruitment and outreach efforts of the Office, which include a wide range of events, student engagement activities, initiatives, publications, and digital marketing aimed at promoting the University’s undergraduate programs. The focus will be on recruiting students primarily from, but not limited to, high schools in Mainland China.

Candidates with experience in Mainland student recruitment and outreach are preferred, and fluency in Putonghua is essential. The appointee is expected to work closely with team members and other internal units to leverage various platforms for reaching out to prospective students. Responsible include but are not limited to:
  • Build rapport with targeted high schools and organize outreach programs and events for prospective students.
  • Deliver presentations at secondary schools or public events to promote the University.
  • Plan and organize student engagement activities for secondary school students.
  • Develop and execute marketing content and collateral for student recruitment.
  • Work proactively to maintain close relationships with current and graduated student ambassadors in support of recruitment activities.
  • Work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong as necessary.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of work experience, preferably in the education or marketing and communication sector. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, possess excellent presentation and communication skills, and be a team player with a strong sense of commitment and demonstrated maturity. They should enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. Experience in public speaking, project and event management, and digital marketing is a definite advantage. A good command of written English and Chinese, as well as fluency in spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua, are essential. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
