Requirements

A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent

A holder of a Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent; preferably with Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)

At least three years' relevant post-degree working experience;

Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and

Proficiency in Chinese and English Word Processing as well as knowledge of basic PC application, such as MS Word, Excel, Spreadsheet and Power Point,

Job Description:
To enforce legislations, rules and regulations, including handling enquiries, complaints and special requests from schools or the public, vetting and processication conducting random checking on residential address claimed by parents of Primary One Admission (POA) applicants and performing school placement for POA late participants and applicants admitted by schools with no Primary I classes in the new school year;

To monitor the progress of POA and Secondary School Places Allocation Admission (SSPA) and Student Information Management (STIM) systems, including conducting POA discrepancy-checking visits to schools; attending sit-in interviews and lots drawing ceremony; manning distribution and centralized checking centres; and preparing POA school lists and maps;

To assist in data processing and maintenance duties, including vetting validation and other related computer reports on POA applications, POA and SSPA school choices and SSPA internal assessment scores and updating related data in the systems; and compiling and providing statistics and background information on POA and SSPA:

To liaise with schools, parents, colleagues in ED and other departments: and conduct seminars, talks / briefings to schools and parents :

To supervise clerical staff and general clerks in manning POA and SSPA distribution and/or centralized checking centres;
