Job Posting Details

The School of Business and Management is looking for an experienced individual to join the administrative team of the Dean’s Office. The appointee will perform a wide spectrum of administrative duties in the Dean’s Office, including provision of support for the School’s strategic development areas and new initiatives. Key duties include providing secretarial support to School meetings and other committees; collecting data and preparing school-level reports and summaries; assisting in planning and implementing the School’s guidelines and policies; creating and maintaining databases of school-level information; coordinating the School’s activities, events and ad hoc projects; liaising with internal and external parties; and performing any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in language studies, communication or business disciplines, with at least 7 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. Experience in committee work would be an advantage. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, problem solving, time management, and IT skills are required. The appointee should be able to work independently and under pressure, perform multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and produce high quality outputs. Proactiveness and a strong sense of responsibility are essential. Working outside normal office hours may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
