Job Posting Details

The research group of Prof. Jiguang Wang is seeking a motivated and organized Project Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support for the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in organizing group activities, conferences, and banquets, as well as managing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Organizing and coordinating group activities, conferences, and events.
  • Providing administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining documentation.
  • Acting as a personal assistant to Prof. Jiguang Wang, managing his calendar and coordinating travel itineraries.
  • Assisting with budget tracking and procurement of supplies. Support of both wetlab and dry lab daily operation.
  • Liaising with internal and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handling any other ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • University graduate, preferably in Life Sciences or Data Science.
  • Ideally at least 2 years of relevant experience in administrative support within an academic or research environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently when necessary.
(Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
