Senior Learning Centres Manager (in the grade of Administrative Officer) in the Accommodation and Facilities Unit

Duties: The appointee will join a team of managers responsible for overseeing the operations and facilities of the School’s Learning Centres. Duties include but are not limited to leading and motivating a team of executives and support staff in managing day-to-day operations, enrolment services, facilities and campus support services to full-time/part-time programmes and other academic and administrative units, organising training and staff development programmes for colleagues of the Unit, monitoring procurement, tendering activities and inventory management, preparing budget and development plans of the Unit, devising policies and guidelines for the smooth operation of Learning Centres, liaising with other teams/units/contractors/property management companies/outside organisations in event management and facilities management, coordinating repair and maintenance work of office/teaching equipment and campus facilities, supporting the School’s directives in enhancing productivity, operational and cost efficiency. The appointee will report to the Head of Learning Centres.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in facilities management, campus administration and operations, system administration and network management. Holder of a Master’s degree an advantage. Strong leadership skills and a high degree of ownership. Detail-minded, good multi-tasking skills and the abilities to critically assess and prioritise tasks and solve problems creatively are essential. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), high proficiency in computer skills and the ability to work under severe time pressure are required. Professional membership of RICS, HKIS or CIH, etc. desirable.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
